In April 2017, Orbit established Earn It, Don’t Burn It (EIDBI) as a two-year service, designed to enable customers to achieve a more financially secure future by developing their own long-term financial capability skills. The service had a focus on achieving sustainable behavioural change and support both Orbit customers and the wider community.

Orbit commissioned HACT to carry out an independent evaluation of the Earn It, Don’t Burn It service in the last year of its service cycle. The evaluation framework is designed to provide an independent assessment of how Earn It, Don’t Burn It has been delivered in practice, its performance during the reporting period and learning that can be applied to future tendering exercise and service design to optimise impact in the future.
